A Stochastic Transport Approach for Nuclear Dynamics

I briefly review the stochastic one-body transport theory for nuclear dynamics, and talk about a coherent dissipation mechanism that arises from the coupling of the single particle motion with the mean-field fluctuations. In the small amplitude limit of the theory, I present some applications to collective vibrations and the early development of spinodal instabilities.
