1. Electromagnetic production of kaons on nucleons (Dr. P. Bydzovsky) Reliable description of the elementary process of the strangenesselectromagnetic production is necessary before more complexcalculations of the hypernucleus production are performed.Many theoretical attempts to understand the process havebeen made resulting in variety of models. Isobaric models for the photo- and electro-productionof kaons on the nucleon will be discussed and a quality of predictions ofsome of them shown in view of new experimental data (Bonn, JLab). 2. Electroproduction of Strangeness and Spectroscopy of Hypernuclei (Dr. M. Sotona) DWIA formalism for the electroproduction of strangeness oncomplex nuclear targets is shortly reviewed and the results arecompared with first electroproduction data from JLab experimentE89-009 on the 12C target. Formalism is then applied tomedium-heavy hypernuclei(A around 50 ) which can be used to shed newlight on the widely discussed problem of the spin-orbit splittingof Lambda single-particle states in nuclear environment.
